Target has launched a new digital download service called Target Ticket and for a limited time you can get 10 FREE downloads when you sign up.
This service is similar to Amazon Instant Video in that you can manage it from your desktop/laptop, tablet, or device and watch movies anywhere. And you only pay for what you watch…there is no monthly service fee.
The best news is that I just tested it and there is a Target Ticket Channel on my ROKU LT. (It also works with most tablets, Apple products, Xbox, and Blu-ray players – but not Kindles, which isn’t too surprising.)
It’s not the easiest to get set up, but with a little patience and perseverance it will work itself out.
Things to know:
1. You need a Target Ticket Account and an UltraViolet Account (and you need to know the user name and passwords to both) and link them together.
2. You’ll need to download the Target Ticket app (or channel) on your device.
3. You can manage all your devices in the “Settings” tab of the navigation bar.
4. There are many devices that are being reported as “working” that are not listed under “approved devices”, so do your own diligence.
5. You can use your Target REDcard to save 5% on purchases.
If you have ROKU, Apple iPod or iPad or Xbox (or one of the other listed devices), it is worth it to sign up for Target Ticket for the FREE movies. And time will tell if this service is equal to Amazon Instant Video or other internet streaming services.
Thanks Kosher On A Budget.
