Memorial Day Shopping: Hen House & Costco Success

Memorial Day Shopping.

I love the holidays. There are always great deals on condiments and other picnic items.

And this week was no exception.

In order to save a little time, I only shopped at Hen House and Costco.

First, you’ll need to pretend that you can see my photo from my shopping trip at Costco. *ahem* Someone was lazy when they got home and didn’t take the picture. (nufsaid)

Costco Imaginary Picture: Skim Milk, Organic Peeled Carrots (5 lbs), Ground Beef (5 lbs), and Beef Brisket (5 lbs). TotalL $47.32

Then I went to Hen House on Friday.

Commentary

Lots of FREE items this week – Bush’s Grillin Beans and Cool Whip

Other under $1.00 items included the Franks Hot Sauce ($.25 after $.50/1 from 5/13 SS), Worcestershire Sauce, Roberts Sour Cream, Country Crock, Jell-O, Kikkoman, French’s Yellow Mustard, Reddi-Wip, Sargento’s Cheese and Farmland Franks as part of the Hen House Deals.

I’m SO EXCITED to have Beef Brisket. I’ve been craving it for about a month now, but I didn’t have an extra $20.00 to use. But this month, I had a little extra at the end of the month, so I was able buy a more expensive piece of meat. Can’t wait to make it this weekend – YUM.

And I still have $30.00 left to get us through the end of the month or to put toward next month or a new pedicure. (Cause I girl has priorities.)
