As I’ve mentioned before, you are exposed to a TON of products at BlogHer. Food, Over The Counter Medications, Clothes, Technology, Drinks, Beauty Products, Stuff For Your Home, and much more.
As I wrap up my Top 10, today’s list focuses on fashion and beauty products.
Did you know about this?
I didn’t. And I was surprised and elated.
Box Tops (those weird little squares on the packaging of certain items like General Mills, Betty Crocker, Avery, Cottonelle and now Hanes) are a great fundraiser for schools. Each of those little squares is worth $.10, so essentially it is FREE money because it comes on a package you already bought.
Unfortunately, the little box top is usually on packaging for items our family doesn’t purchase. So, I’m not able to clip as many box tops as I would like.
Now that Box Tops are on Hanes products (and we go t-shirts, undies and socks like they might go out of style), I’ll be able to support my school and my family’s under-clothes addiction.
PS: Start earning some BoxTops right now with Baxter The Backpack Game. Earn up to 10 BoxTops for playing.
Before having a one-on-one meeting with Naturalizer, I thought (well, believed) they were shoes for my Grandmother, but not me. In fact, I remember her having several pairs of Naturalizer shoes and always thought they looked comfortable, but utilitarian.
However, after my little meeting and trying on SEVERAL pairs of Naturalizer shoes I am proud to say they are anything but utiliatarian (and still mighty comfortable).
In fact, I was blow away with their new styles of boots and flats. They are…Super stylish. Super comfy. Super Reasonable. Perfect for a Mom or Business Woman on.the.go.
If you haven’t had a chance to go into a Naturalizer store in awhile – it may be worth your time…they definitely are NOT Grandma’s shoes anymore. (Plus get 20% off your purchase when you use code NFPUSA20 at checkout.)
If you have followed KCM for any length of time, you know I had laser hair removal on two parts of my body. (Under arms and bikini line.)
It worked wonderfully during my sessions. And I was excited to be hair free…
Until a few months later and little hairs came back and I realized I needed to have “upkeep sessions”.
I was bummed. I wanted to be hair free forever. I didn’t want upkeep sessions. I didn’t want one more appointment to worry about missing.
And then I met the ladies from TRIA and I think I had my first true blissful moment at BlogHer.
TRIA Beauty has a home-laser hair removal system that rivals a salon experience except you can do it from HOME. While the machine is not cheap (around $395) it is a great way to have a salon experience without the travel and the $25.00 “upkeep treatment” cost.
10. CND Products
I’m a nail, makeup and beauty product addict.
I will try any product once. I’ll see how it compares to my Top 10 Beauty Products. And if I don’t like, I’ll throw or give it away.
But if I love it, watch out. Because I’ll tell everyone I know about it.
CND Products are professional nail products available at Ulta or Beauty Brands. Without a doubt, they have the best pigment fingernail polish (thinking striking colors with LOTS of pigment) and hand/nail therapy (think wraps and scrubs) that I have ever experienced. (No more Essie or OPI for me.)
You may also recognize the name because CND was first on the scene with shellac manicures. (Another one of my favorites.)
And here is the good news – I’ve been able to secure some giveaways of my top products from BlogHer 2012. So stay tuned this fall and Holiday season when I will be able to share the wealth. Is there a product from my list you especially want? Let me know in the comments.
